Samsung Medical Center is well-known among foreigners living in Korea for its outstanding medical and nursing staff and efficient services. For the convenience of foreign patients, the hospital has implemented post-payment programs with several companies, major embassies, foreign schools, and U.S. military hospitals. In addition, the International Clinic receives an average of 7,500 patients a year from neighboring countries in Asia and the Middle East, making it one of the top foreign medical centers in Korea. Samsung Medical Center has been designated as the official hospital of the 2002 World Cup and as a hospital for the White House in the United States.
